Hi everyone! I recently learned that in October of 2024 Gracie Abrams had 35 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and after releasing “That’s So True” in November, she gained 15 million monthly listeners. The song has been streamed over 845 million times in the nearly three months that it has been out on Spotify, and has become very popular on social media.
In July, my friends and I were in the car driving to the mall when “I Love You, I’m Sorry” came on my playlist. At that time, she had reached 22 million monthly listeners, which is less than half of what she has now. My friends said that they really liked the song and that they had never heard it before. When I told them that it was Gracie Abrams, they said that they hadn’t heard of her but they would continue to listen to it.
“I Love You, I’m Sorry” is one of the more popular songs on her album. There are others such as “Close to You” as well, but more popular than both of those is “That’s So True.”
I started listening to her previous songs after I really started listening to The Secret of Us. I really enjoy a lot of those songs, but my favorites are “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” and “Feels Like.” These are the best of her earlier songs because they have a lot of repetition in the lyrics but they also change the repetition.
She played these songs at her concert that I went to in September. At this concert, I didn’t see many other people. Gracie was super interactive with her fans and would talk to people in the audience. The concert wasn’t super big, and the people who were there were big fans of her. Even though the concert was small, my head still hurt after hearing all the people singing her songs at the top of their lungs.
When she first released her new concerts, I didn’t expect them to be as popular as they were. When the sale happened, the tickets sold out in under an hour which was way faster than the first time I got tickets. The stress of getting these tickets was way greater than anticipated, and they are now reselling for hundreds and even thousands of dollars. This was surprising, and I was really excited that more people were wanting to see Gracie Abrams in concert after the success of “That's So True".
I think that Gracie Abrams deserves the fame that she’s getting, and as a fan, I’m not gatekeeping her music because I’m happy for her and what she has accomplished.

That’s on period
